Isaac Slade

Born: May 26, 1981

Birthplace: Boulder, Colo., U.S.

Bio:

Isaac Slade is the lead singer and pianist of alternative rock and piano rock quartet band, The Fray. The Fray owe all of their early success to their organic, grassroots beginnings. Slade started singing when he was 8 years old, and started playing piano when he was 11 years old after temporarily losing his voice. Slade and band member, Joe King (guitar, vocals) attended Faith Christian Academy together and formed The Fray in 2002 after bumping into each other at a local Guitar Center. The songs were catchy enough to attract two of Slade's former band mates drummer Ben Wysocki and guitarist Dave Welsh who soon joined, completing the bands lineup. Slade co-wrote all of the songs on The Fray's debut album How to Save a Life. Before forming The Fray, Slade worked at Starbucks for several years. Slade is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder.
