James Denton

Bio:

James Thomas Denton, Jr. (born January 20, 1963) is an American film and television actor, best known for playing Mike Delfino on the US television show Desperate Housewives. His first role as "George Gibbs" in a community theater production of Our Town began a long and varied theater resume, from roles like Stanley Kowalski in "A Streetcar Named Desire" to composing music for a Chicago theater company. After being named one of "Chicago's 10 Hottest Actors" in 1995, Denton moved to Los Angeles and appeared in the feature films Face Off, That Old Feeling and Primary Colors. Then began a string of television guest star appearances including The West Wing, Ally McBeal, and recurring roles on J.A.G., Reba, and The Drew Carey Show.

Denton was a series regular for three seasons on The Pretender and on the shows Threat Matrix and Philly. During his last hiatus from Desperate Housewives, Denton teamed up with Chris Kattan in the film Undead or Alive. Denton has supported numerous animal rescue efforts and dedicates much of his charity effort toward protecting the environment, in addition to his work with Band from TV. He continues to lend his name and contribute his time to other causes close to his heart and resides in Southern California with his wife and two children.
