Nash Street gives itself the self-ascribed label of "grassroots country." The Starkville, Mississippi-based quintet, which combines contemporary country music and bluegrass
instrumentation, is consists of Daniel Hare (upright bass), sisters Hannah
Melby (fiddle) and Caroline Melby (mandolin), Jason Graham (rhythm guitar) and
Clay Lezon (lead guitar).
The young musicians perform for church gatherings, live radio broadcasts, traditional bluegrass festivals, Mississippi State events, concerts and private parties. Their most recent studio CD, Carry On, was recorded at Ricky Skaggs' studio in Nashville.
