Oksana Kolesnikova
Born in Barnaul, Siberia, Oksana is the embodiment of the American Dream, focusing her energies and desires on mastering the love of her life, music.
Starting her studies of classical piano in Siberia at just the age of five, Oksana has now brought her talents to the U.S. by sheer force of will, has set up shop in Los Angeles, and has received instant acclaim. Oksana is creating is something that no pianist before her has ever achieved, perhaps with the exception of the legendary Liberace, a cross-over from classical music to mainstream entertainment, utilizing modern marketing techniques. She coined the term “entert-preneur” to describe herself with one word.
The breadth of Oksana's reach is practically endless. She has created an ever-growing spider web of popularity built on unique collaborations with other talented artists, countless live performances, and beautifully crafted branding merchandise. Oksana has a strong interest and say in environmental and social issues as evidenced by her celebrity endorsement of the NJ-based 'Hydrogen Bus' . With the release of her seventh CD, 'The Best of Two Worlds', a collection of original works inspired by the art of Grammy award winning Jim Warren , she plans to help fund noble organizations that help deal with poverty in third world countries.
Oksana began chasing her dream in the Tampa Bay area, Florida, where her family relocated in 1993 from Russia when Oksana was just a teenager. That's where she won the Florida State Young Artists Piano Competition, which gave her the opportunity to attend the prestigious Florida State University School of Music on a full scholarship.
Today, Oksana has established a solid fan base that spans the globe - thanks especially to a strong internet presence that spreads 'Oksana Fan News' to millions via her state-of-the-art website. Oksana has also completed two world tours on behalf of the US Navy's Morale and Recreation Services, performing for deployed military personnel and United Nations officials in Italy, Spain, Greece, S. Korea, Guam, Japan, Singapore, and Okinawa.
Oksana lives in Los Angeles, CA where she performs at the legendary Polo Lounge on the grounds of the Beverly Hills Hotel.
