Bio:

Peter Frampton was born April 21, 1950 in Beckenham, England, and developed an interest in music by the age of 7. He initially taught himself to play his grandmother's banjolele, and after received a guitar and piano from his parents, he learned to play these instruments on his own. At age 8, he started taking classical music lessons.

Peter joined his first band, The Little Ravens, at 10 years of age and performed in several other bands as a child before officially forming Humble Pie with Steve Marriott. He also recorded with several other musicians over the years, including George Harrison. During one of their sessions, he was introduced to the talk box, which became his trademark guitar sound. Peter's breakthrough best-selling live album, Frampton Comes Alive!, was released in 1976. Featuring popular singles such as "Baby, I Love Your Way," "Show Me the Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do," he incorporated the talk box sound and received international recognition.

Peter has been busy recording and touring ever since, most recently receiving the 2007 GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album for his album, Fingerprints. He is currently gearing up for the 2010 release and tour of Thank You Mr. Churchill.
