Ray Barbee is an American skateboarder from San Jose, California who started skateboarding in 1984, when he was in seventh grade. Barbee was a leading pioneer of skateboarding in the 1980s, best known for his cutting edge techniques. His current sponsors include Element Skateboards and Vans Shoes.
A music writer who plays guitar, bass guitar, drums, harp and xylophone, Barbee released his debut EP in 2003, Triumphant Procession, a collection of jazz-influenced instrumental tracks he produced and engineered at home. His 2005 release, In Full View, featured guests appearances by drummers Doug Scharin (of HiM and June of 44) and Carlos de la Garza (formerly of Reel Big Fish).
