Sinbad
Born David Adkins in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Sinbad began his career as a comedian appearing seven times on Star Search, and winning his round against comedian Dennis Miller. He then appeared on The Redd Foxx Show before finding sit-com success as Lisa Bonet’s coach on A Different World. He then found success with his own television series, The Sinbad Show, which earned him a 1995 Kid’s Choice Awards for “Favorite Television Actor.” He continued to do standup, appear in television shows and star in such popular movies as First Kid, Houseguest and Jingle All the Way. A huge fan of music, he is a regular at the annual NAMM Shows in Anaheim.
