Writer/editor in fields of health, healing and spirituality for 40 years, founder non-profit for women in area of personal and spiritual grouth. Reiki practitioner for 8 years. * Founder of "Healing Rhythms"...lead small drum circles focused on meditation, entrainment and self-affirmation; give talks at conferences, and do drum presentations with seniors, church groups, with my 30 drums. Have Masters degree in spirituality. Teach 6 hour-class: "Drumming: RX for Health" with local Adult Education program and do retreat sessions on drumming/chakra chimes at Vallombrosa, local retreat house. * Work with some staff of caregivers giving them resources to use in drumming with others.

* Health Rhythms with Remo 2004 (Stevens, Bittman and Hull) * One day "Healing Drum" workshop with Christine Stevens 2006 * Rhythms, Rhymes and Reasons with Healther McTavish 2003 (leader with MS who drums and develops drum equipment for elders and disabled) * Drumming the IChing workshop @2002 with Tina Claire * Lecture: Sound Vibrations by Dowsing Society 2007 * Lectures: Mind/Body foundation which monthly sponsors talks about healing in many alternative forms * Private reading and research on sound healing and drumming and vibrations * Have made early reservations for International Sound Healing conference in San Francisco in May 2007 * 18 years of interviewing and writing profiles on people in healing/spirituality fields
Special Interests:
* Educating people about the healing aspects of drumming (gentle drumming ...not the really loud king) * Incorporating meditation and relaxed drumming with dancing/drumming to energetic and fun dancing (I offer colorful scarves and hats for drummers when we do the rhumba or Taiko or Riverdance rhythms.....woman empowerment songs of Christine Stevens are a great hit...even with the occasional men who show up at my home drum circles
