Thank you Gavin DeGraw
I've always dreamed of playing an instrument. I've loved music of all genres for all my life, but it was always a dream. That is until I first heard Gavin DeGraw sing. I'm quite sure that between 2004 & 2008, Gavin was one of the exclusive artists that was flowing nonstop through the earbuds on my iPod. His voice, music, lyrics & artistry completely altered something in my brain & squeezed my heart in a way I can't explain. This all happened on Thanksgiving Day of 2004. I mention that because I find that magical. I started playing piano less than 1.5 years ago, acoustic guitar about 1 year ago, & singing 3 months ago. I recently stopped the lessons, but have so many books on theory. I read, study, apply & practice, practice, practice as much as a busy mom of two possibly can. Some nights I forfeit sleep & plug the headphones into the piano. In a short time, I have made incredible progress, that to me, at times is unbelievable. I feel such joy, rebirthed, & filled with a passion for this. I want to play forever. A cello may be forthcoming, not sure yet. Gavin, I have you to thank. Je ne peux rien faire, je peux tout faire, et vous aussi!
